Seeking a Locums Trauma Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in Ashville, NC. The Provider will must be available for nights, weekends, and holidays and open to 24-hour shifts, but not required. Preference for positions with call room availability for night shifts. Must have Advanced Trauma Life Support certification Proficient in performing tube thoracostomy and central venous catheter placement Preferred proficiency in arterial line placement. As A Nurse Practitioner you will see approximately 35 patients per day split among covering providers (3 FTEs).
No ICU component desired in the role. Prefer to focus on managing trauma patients on stepdown and medsurg floors, as well as trauma cases in the Emergency department.
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nurse practitioner program.
Valid Physician Assistant license to practice in the state of NC
Advanced Trauma Life Support certification
Proficient in performing tube thoracostomy and central venous catheter placement
Preferred proficiency in arterial line placement
