  • JOB DESCRIPTION: The College and Career Readiness Network Manager will be responsible for assisting with the current success of Generation Schools Network (GSN)’s work to support the development and implementation of the Front Range Equity Network (FREN) , community and career connected learning at the Aurora and Colorado Springs Community Campuses and the Delta Dental Oral Hygiene Pathways. 

    • This collaborative exists with a goal of providing equitable access to College and Career Readiness (CCR) preparation for all students served by FREN and Justice-Engaged Students Colorado () at the Community Campuses as well as students state-wide related to oral healthcare pathways. This position, alongside the Area Directors of CCR, will balance vision and detail to guide network development and program implementation. 
    • Efforts may include: in-person and/or virtual coaching sessions, Real-World Problem Scenario facilitation, internship development, entrepreneurship teaching and fairs, increasing awareness of local and state resources for training and job placements, facility tours, job shadowing opportunities, STEM programming, assisting in enrolling students in training courses, and other initiatives. Through this process, the Manager will develop relationships with school leaders, administration, counselors, and teachers. 
    • Additionally, the Manager will facilitate and develop relationships with local businesses, community-based organizations and higher education institutions to create opportunities for CCR initiatives. Significant work has already been undertaken to develop these relationships, so warm handoffs will be provided.

    Duties include:  

    • Build relationships with superintendents, administrators, counselors, teachers, training programs, higher education institutions, and the business community. 
    • Orchestrate communication and CCR pathway alignment between the schools, helping to identify opportunities the collaborative can offer students that the schools/districts could not offer individually.
    • Identify local training and certification program opportunities for students to enroll in constantly adding to the Big Opportunities List shared across the FREN.
    • Work with CCR Director to identify gaps and opportunities for districts to enhance their current CCR offerings sustainably toward building out a collaborative pathway of opportunity as demonstrated on the coschooltowork.org website.
    • Support schools in planning for CCR preparation for students in grade levels 4-12 to provide equitable college/career readiness opportunities in each of the schools.
    • Organize training(s), PDs, events, and other college/career learning opportunities based on pathway development. Gather participation data of students, businesses, and school staff engaged in CCR programming. 
    • Connect to the business community alongside the CCR Director and VP of Development and Partnerships to bring new opportunities for students and to help employers build their employee pipeline.
    • Delta Dental Oral Hygiene Pathway:
    • Serve as the program lead for this initiative and as a thought, planning, and implementation partner.
    • Connect partners and integrate oral health careers into existing college/career readiness work.
    • Build sustainable, school-embedded oral health workforce pipelines focused on careers as a dental assistant, dental hygienist and dentist.
    • Specific knowledge of dental hygiene is not required. 
    • The role will include some travel (approximately 3x per month) to various locations around Colorado with some overnights.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

    • Any equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree. Work experience may be concurrent with degree attainment. 
    • Relevant experience includes previous teaching, coaching, coordination, program implementation, leadership experience, working in workforce development, exposure to employment service-related field, staffing agency, government or education environment, or related setting. 
    • Ability to proactively identify potential challenges, evaluate the impact, create and implement a solution, and communicate the issue, steps taken, and results in a timely manner with appropriate parties. 
    • Excellent customer service, coordination, and consensus-building skills especially as it relates to event and pathway coordination.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with all levels of staff. 
    • Strong organizational/time management skills and multitasking abilities to support program and program management. 
    • Ability to prioritize, follow through, meet goals, and document work.
    • Colorado School Counselor’s License preferred, but not required.
    • Bi-lingual Spanish - speaking preferred, but not required.
