Sr UI/UX Designer General Overview
Tektronix is seeking a talented, customer-obsessed, and self-motivated Sr. UI/UX Designer to join our Software Product Design team. This role is critical to shaping user experiences across our suite of software products and will be instrumental in helping shape the future of the Tektronix software brand. You'll collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other designers to create intuitive, elegant, and effective user experiences. The role is open to remote employees and will report to the Director of Software Product Design.
Responsibilities
Design wireframes, workflows, and interaction models for both new and existing software products.
Design and develop forward-looking concepts for potential future products or future product versions.
Collaborate regularly with development teams to ensure accurate implementation of designs and vet any necessary changes.
Assist in the development and mentoring of other team members.
Maintain and evolve a shared design system used across multiple products to ensure consistency and scalability.
Provide UX consultation to development teams, identifying usability issues and recommending workflow improvements.
Assist in the creation of Workflow and Interface Proposal documents to ensure goal alignment across multiple groups and stakeholders.
Demonstrate a passion and willingness to advocate for accessibility in product design.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a UX Designer, ideally within a collaborative team environment.
Leadership experience within a team (creative lead, project lead, mentor, etc)
Background in visual or graphic design, ideally within a digital environment
Familiarity with software development concepts or experience working closely with software development teams.
Experience building and working with design systems or component libraries.
A reliable, self-starter who looks for opportunities to improve both the product and themselves.
A passion for user-centered design and continuous improvement.
Skills
Proficiency with design and collaboration tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, SharePoint, Microsoft Office 365, Miro, FigJam, etc.
Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to work remotely and with team members spread across multiple time zones

Bonus or Equity
This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.
Pay Range
The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 120,500.00 - 223,900.00
