MGI is it. Location: Were expanding in Fort Wayne and seeking two experienced Electricians to support a federally funded VA Hospital project focused on critical infrastructure and life safety systems. Duration of role is roughly 9-12 months with lucrative Prevailing Wages.
Position Summary: As an Electrician at MGI, you'll install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical and life safety systems including fire alarm, and hospital-grade infrastructure. You'll work alongside seasoned foremen and superintendents who value productivity, safety, and team accountability.
Key Responsibilities: - Install conduit, wiring, panels, and devices per NEC and VA specifications
- Perform layout and rough-in for hospital-grade construction and remodels
- Install and maintain Life Safety Systems such as fire alarm, and backup power
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, federal codes, and life safety standards
- Collaborate with field leadership to meet project timelines and quality benchmarks
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean worksite
Qualifications: - Valid journeyman license or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum 4 years of commercial electrical experience
- Strong understanding of NEC, OSHA standards, and jobsite safety
- Prior hospital or healthcare experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with fire alarm systems, and life safety protocols
- Ability to work independently and as part of a crew
Compensation & Benefits: - This position is subject to Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements. Electricians will be compensated in accordance with the federally mandated wage determination for Allen County, Indiana, including fringe benefits.
