About the Role:
As a Small Business Underwriter, you'll have a direct impact on our success by building a profitable book of business specializing in commercial trucking. You'll use your analytical skills to select and monitor risk, all while building and maintaining strong relationships with our agents and insureds. This is a fast-paced environment where you'll have autonomy in managing your work and achieving your underwriting goals.
What You'll Do:
Directly influence the profitability and growth of our business.
Underwrite, price, and rate endorsements.
Manage your book of business with autonomy.
Build strong relationships with agents and insureds, becoming a trusted partner.
Participate in a comprehensive training program that includes mentoring, classroom instruction, and self-study.
What You'll Bring:
Prior experience in sales, relationship building, or insurance is a plus, but not required! We're willing to train the right person.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to analyze risk.
Ability to identify customer needs and effectively communicate the value of our products and services.
