Job Description

Boone Steel is seeking a position in Shipping and Receiving Clerk. They will work to load and unload trucks (Boone Trucks and Will Call Customer Trucks), stock and stage material, organize inventory and general maintenance on the facility. Fulltime position from either 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday thru Friday or from 6:00am to 2:30pm. Must be able to lift loads of 50lbs. We are looking for a motivated applicant that wants to grow with us thru hard work. We can provide on the job training in material and general industry knowledge.

• Operate Forklift and Overhead Crane.
• Have a base level knowledge of basic rigging. 
• Pick, pack, and palletize jobs with the ability to work with others.
• Load trucks and follow bills of lading and shipping labels.
• Unload trucks, check bills of lading and move material in the warehouse.
• Other functions as assigned.

Basic Knowledge and Skills:

• Ability to lift heavy materials on a regular basis.
• Hand, mark and document BOL paperwork. Not responsible for creating but will be checking. 
• Pick, pack, and ship steel products. 
• Forklift operation and safety.
• Overhead Crane operation and safety.
• Material handling equipment, and hand tools.
• Banding materials.
• Medical Card and ability to Drive a Truck under 26,000# a plus.
