Job Description

At Chick-fil-A, the Operations Manager role is more than just a job… it's an opportunity! Operations Managers are the Aces among all team members and are responsible for shift management, running shift operations as well as overseeing team member efforts and activities in order to achieve desired goals. Operations Managers ensure operational excellence throughout the restaurant by directing Team Members to perform their checklists and other tasks at ever-increasing levels of proficiency and efficiency. They also guarantee that every Team Member is demonstrating Remarkable Experiences all day, every day. Operations Managers create the daily setup sheet, define Team Member placement, and ensure all Team Members are completing assigned responsibilities per the positional checklists. Operations Managers are responsible for ensuring an exceptionally smooth, highly efficient shift.

Operations Managers will be scheduled for a 3-day workweek and must have availability on Monday/Wednesday/Friday OR Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday. We're providing a unique opportunity to work full-time or part-time while only working 3 days per week, leaving you 4 days each week (including 2-day weekends!) to enjoy/pursue your other passions in life! Full time team members will work an average of 12 - 13 hours per day. Part time team members will work an average of 4 - 6 hours per day. Opening (5:30am) and/or closing (11:30pm) availability will be required. We are currently hiring for the Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday (Team Spicy) schedule; closing availability is needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Hard-working, team-oriented, friendly, honest and have great customer service skills
  • Be of strong values, ethics & integrity
  • Previous leadership experience with solid employment longevity, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry
  • Food service experience is preferred
  • Proven excellence in carrying out duties and responsibilities
  • Driven, results-oriented
  • Not known to be timid, nervous, quiet, or slow to act
  • Known for taking action, building consensus, influential, & purposeful

Uniform Policy:

  • Face, neck and hand tattoos are not allowed, no exceptions - other tattoos will need to be covered during your shift
  • No ear gauges or facial piercings allowed other than one stud in the nose
  • Facial hair, other than a neatly trimmed mustache, is not allowed. Sideburns must be trimmed to be no longer than the bottom of the earlobe and be consistent with the sides from top to bottom.
  • No unnatural hair colors (pink, green, blue, etc.)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure exceptional customer service by greeting guests, addressing their needs, and resolving any issues or complaints. Train and coach team members to deliver the Chick-fil-A standard of service and hospitality.

  • Operate cash register, tray/bag orders, drive thru headset, dining room cleaning/host
  • Ensure all standards and processes are achieved by all team members

  • Take ownership for assigned responsibilities; hold team accountable for theirs
  • Create setup sheet and assign shift duties
  • Manage team member breaks
  • Verify team members complete assigned positional checklists
  • Ensure team members are completing assigned ownership of tasks
  • Drive team members to maintain an exceptionally clean restaurant
  • Develop a team mindset with others to focus on excellence; gather the team’s input
  • Enthusiastically and optimistically lead all team members
  • Display a continuous positive attitude with both guests and team members
  • Live out Chick-fil-A customer service behaviors to customers and employees
  • Conduct shift huddles – constantly assess and communicate shift efforts
  • Enforce grooming standards among team members
  • Treat everyone with a positive attitude of honor, dignity, and respect all day, every day
  • Be an advocate for your team and shift
  • Properly manage assigned assets (equipment, product, etc.)
  • Ensure all employees are in accordance with our employee policy handbook
