Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled SEO Expert who will be instrumental in both developing and executing SEO strategies tailored specifically for home service businesses. This role requires a proactive individual capable of refining our current page SEO and implementing technical SEO enhancements. As a key member of our small, dynamic SEO team, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in setting the direction of our SEO efforts and actively implementing these strategies to achieve measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies to enhance organic search visibility and lead generation for home service professionals.
- Conduct thorough keyword research and optimize website content for maximum SEO impact.
- Implement technical SEO enhancements including site speed optimization, structured data, and XML sitemaps.
- Monitor, track, and report on SEO performance metrics, adjusting strategies as necessary to improve rankings and visibility.
- Collaborate with content creators and web developers to ensure that best SEO practices are integrated into all digital content and technical frameworks.
- Stay abreast of the latest SEO trends and algorithm updates, applying new techniques to maintain and enhance search engine rankings.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in SEO with a track record of delivering tangible results, particularly in the home services industry.
- Strong understanding of on-page and off-page SEO factors and a demonstrated ability to implement SEO strategies that comply with Google best practices.
- Proficiency in SEO tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, Moz, Ahrefs, and others relevant to the industry.
- Excellent analytical skills with an ability to derive meaningful insights from data sets.
- Experience with HTML/CSS and a basic understanding of web development and website architecture from an SEO perspective.
- Ability to write clear, concise, and effective copy that meets the needs of both search engines and users.
Educational and Professional Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of dedicated SEO experience, preferably in a digital marketing agency environment.
