Overview

A growing organization in the Port St Lucie area is seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to support the month-end close process, financial reporting, analysis, and general accounting activities. This individual will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, improving processes, and supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and execute core components of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Assist with financial statement preparation and internal reporting.
• Analyze variances and provide insights to leadership.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities as needed.
• Maintain and improve accounting processes, controls, and documentation.
• Assist with audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests.
• Help oversee AP/AR, payroll entries, and general ledger activity, depending on need.
• Work cross-functionally with operations, finance, and other departments.
• Perform ad hoc projects and analysis as requested.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting.
• Proficiency with Excel and experience using ERP/accounting systems.
