About us:

Maryland Treatment Centers Inc., provides a comprehensive continuum of treatment for persons of all ages with problems involving substance use. We feature specialty services for adolescents, young adults and adults. Clinical programs include assessment, residential/inpatient, detoxification, day treatment, intensive outpatient and outpatient substance abuse, dual diagnosis, mental health, special education and prevention services. Our programs are accredited by the Joint Commission (JCAHO).

About the Position:

*We are looking for individuals to work Full-Time and/or Part-Time for day and night shifts at our Avery Road Treatment Center location in Rockville, Maryland

*Must be willing and available to work weekends and any holiday (including Christmas and/or Thanksgiving)

Responsibilities include:

• Keeping unauthorized persons and substances out of the facility
• Assisting staff, when necessary, with difficult patient/staff situations.
• Hourly checks and completion of security log noting all violations and questionable activity observed during shift
• Report all observed safety hazards and maintenances needs to proper authority
• Consistently checks the parking lot for protection of staff/company vehicles
• Escort staff to and from parking lot when requested
• Check all exit doors for security for protection of patients and staff
• Complete necessary security documentation
• Use work orders when safety or lock failures are notices
• Report outside light outages to maintenance for replacement/repair
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

*High school diploma or equivalent.

*2 or more years of experience working with children with disabilities, substance abuse patients, or mental health patients.
