Job Description

Essel Environmental provides On-Demand Emergency and Disaster Response Personnel throughout the United States.

We have an ongoing need for personnel to assist with emergency and non-emergency response in Northern and Central California including:

Duties:

- Perform restoration and repair work on buildings and structures

- Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete tasks

- Clean and restore carpets and other flooring materials

- Conduct asbestos abatement procedures as needed

- Site Demolition and Cleanup

Job Responsibilities:

• Utilize hand-tools and equipment, absorbent booms and pads to contain and remediate impacted surfaces, soils and waters.
• Perform manual work requiring periods of extensive physical exertion
• Must have the ability to carry out written and oral instructions
• Be able to meet the work schedule with dependability and consistency.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Able and willing to travel and work on an on-call basis
• Must be available to deploy immediately or within 24-48 hours depending on the need
• Confined Space certification a plus
• Chemical/oil/confined space experience strongly preferred

• Valid Driver’s license

• High School Diploma/ GED

• The ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends when needed
• Ability to perform labor intensive activities in any weather or environmental conditions

• Reliable local transportation
• Ability to perform duties while adhering to safety priorities while wearing PPE, such as respirators and protective clothing
