Join a global leader in vision care and medical devices, supporting R&D projects in Cataract and Vitreoretinal product development.

Product Engineer – 2-Year Contract

Pay: $40.00–$45.65/hr DOE | Benefits: Medical, Dental, PTO, Holidays, 401(k)

Ideal Candidate:

Recent Master’s or PhD graduate in Biomedical Engineering (high GPA), with experience in medical device product development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support R&D projects, including prototype builds and component qualification
• Maintain accurate BOMs and product costs
• Support product transfers and supplier qualifications
• Troubleshoot quality issues and manage corrective actions
• Identify cost and material improvements
• Collaborate cross-functionally and manage documentation (labeling, protocols, reports)

Qualifications:

• Master’s/PhD in Biomedical Engineering (preferred schools: A&M, Rice, UH, UT Austin)
• Up to 1 year of relevant experience in medical devices (R&D, manufacturing, or quality)
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
• Proficient in MS Office and root cause analysis
