Summary

Our childcare center is currently hiring enthusiastic and caring individuals to join our team! We are hiring for a UPK teaching assistant. Hours are 8:00am- 4pm, Monday-Friday. Always guaranteed to have weekends off! Other hours may be available based on other staff member's attendance. As a childcare staff member, you will have the opportunity to work with preschool aged children, helping them learn and grow in a safe and nurturing environment. We are looking for candidates who are patient, kind, and have a genuine love for working with children. We offer on-the-job training and ongoing professional development opportunities to ensure that our staff members are equipped with the tools and knowledge they need to provide the best care for our children.

Duties

Assistant Teachers take on a supportive role in the classroom in order to carry out the planned activities for the day. Employees entering the classroom to replace a missing regular assistant or as extra coverage in a classroom will take on a supportive role to fill in where the regular classroom teachers see fit. Hours may vary due to teacher and other assistant teachers’ absences, both planned and unplanned. Responsibilities will include supervising playtime, assisting with meal and snack times, assisting with age-appropriate activities, and maintaining a clean and organized childcare space.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older.
Must be able to pass a NYS background check.
Must have Highschool diploma or GED.
