With a strong reputation for collaboration and technical expertise, they are growing their team and seeking a Plumbing Design Drafter to support their expanding pipeline of projects.
Position Overview:
The Plumbing Design Drafter will play a crucial role in supporting engineers and project teams by preparing detailed drawings and layouts of plumbing systems. This position is ideal for someone with strong drafting skills, a keen eye for detail, and an interest in working on a variety of design-build projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop accurate plumbing system drawings and layouts using AutoCAD and/or Revit for design-build projects.
Collaborate with plumbing engineers and project managers to translate design concepts into coordinated, buildable plans.
Draft water, sanitary, storm, and vent piping systems in compliance with project requirements, building codes, and industry standards.
Assist in identifying and resolving design conflicts through coordination with other trades (mechanical, electrical, architectural).
Support revisions, updates, and documentation of project drawings throughout the design and construction phases.
Maintain organized drawing files and contribute to overall project documentation.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit (Revit experience strongly preferred).
2+ years of drafting or design experience in plumbing, mechanical, or MEP environments.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, high-quality work under deadlines.
Familiarity with construction documents and specifications.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
