About the Family:

This busy family is looking for a superhero to swoop in after school and support their two amazing children! They have a bright 14-year-old who needs help with pre-algebra and Spanish 1, and an energetic 9-year-old who would benefit from some extra reading practice.

About the Role:

Get ready to wear two capes! In this unique role, you'll be responsible for both after-school childcare and academic support. Here's a breakdown of your afternoons:

 

• Pick up the children from school
• Help them unwind and enjoy a healthy snack
• Transition into homework mode
• Assist the 14-year-old with pre-algebra and Spanish 1, providing patient guidance and explanations
• Help the 9-year-old develop stronger reading skills through interactive practice
• Maintain a positive and encouraging learning environment
• Communicate effectively with parents about the children's progress

The Ideal Candidate:

 

• Experience working with children (9-14 years old preferred), with references to verify
• Strong educational background with proficiency in pre-algebra, Spanish 1, and elementary reading comprehension
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for fostering a love of learning
• Reliable transportation and a clean driving record
• CPR and First Aid certified
