Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer with a passion for rockets and aerospace. This role requires the ability to work independently, manage projects with a priority mindset, and effectively communicate across functions. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and capable of documenting processes meticulously. This position is ideal for someone who can take direction easily and complete tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities
+ Manage and execute engineering projects independently with a focus on priority.
+ Work cross-functionally to ensure project success and integration.
+ Document processes and project details with a high level of accuracy.
+ Design, analyze, and test mechanical extraction systems, ensuring integration with automation controls.
+ Program and troubleshoot automated extraction processes.
+ Conduct risk analysis and implement safety protocols in high-stakes environments.
+ Plan, schedule, and coordinate complex engineering projects.
+ Identify issues, propose innovative solutions, and implement corrective actions under tight deadlines.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
+ 10+ years of experience in manufacturing process and process engineering.
+ Familiarity with solid rocket motor design and manufacturing processes.
+ Proficiency in designing, analyzing, and testing mechanical extraction systems.
+ Strong knowledge of aerospace safety standards and procedures.
+ Experience in risk analysis and implementing safety protocols.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Familiarity with core tooling concepts and specific requirements of extraction can systems.
+ Ability to integrate mechanical extraction systems with automation controls.
+ Experience in programming and troubleshooting automated extraction processes.
+ Skills in planning, scheduling, and coordinating complex engineering projects.
+ Ability to produce detailed documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and compliance records.
Work Environment
The position is onsite in McHenry, MS, supporting. The workweek is typically 40-55 hours, with a mandatory onsite meeting at 7:30 AM, a 30-minute lunch, and the day typically wrapping up around 4:30 PM. While the role is demanding, it does not require a 70-hour workweek, as exposure to energetics is limited. This is an opportunity to work on new and creative projects that are first of their kind, with an emphasis on automating processes.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $86.00/hr.
