Summary:
Develop and implement production and tooling methodologies
Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines
Develop, identify, and implement conceptual designs while maintaining program architecture for build
Lead and execute manufacturing plans
Conduct producibility and variation analyses to ensure manufacturing process capability meets requirements
Provide producibility input for project plans and document best practices
Analyze design and build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions
Resolve complex technical issues impacting performance, cost, or schedule
Coordinate and implement new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies, and concepts
Validate and ensure production readiness of solutions to complex manufacturing challenges
Implement Lean principles and manufacturing technologies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement manufacturing processes for air vehicle subsystems
Ensure production readiness by identifying and mitigating risks, optimizing workflows, and improving efficiency
Support operations by streamlining processes, improving quality, and ensuring on-time delivery
Apply data analysis and engineering principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives
Participate in design reviews and lead manufacturability and assembly decision-making
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field (or non-U.S. equivalent) with 5+ years of related experience , OR Master's degree with 3+ years of related experience , OR PhD with relevant work experience
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Aerospace, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering
Composite fabrication experience
Experience supporting defense and/or aerospace programs
Experience with 3D model-based instruction
Experience with one or more of the following tools or systems:
IVT, CREO, CATIA, NX
IPDM Teamcenter, MES, MESci
Gold, PrimeR, Aurora, VisVSA
DELMIA, VisMockup, ProModel, FlexSim
3D printed parts, Maker Spaces, ImDev, ICIDO
Multi-monitor collaborative rooms, enterprise gated processes
Experience with CINCOM
Experience reviewing and approving other engineers' work (e.g., installation plans, tool orders, line stock checks)
