Akkodis is seeking a Lead AI Data Engineer for a Contract with a client in Owings Mills, MD. The ideal candidate will lead the design and development of data pipelines and GenAI solutions within Snowflake using Snowpark and Cortex AI.
Rate Range: $45/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Lead AI Data Engineer job responsibilities include:
Design and develop data pipelines within Snowflake using Snowpark to support advanced analytics and AI solutions.
Lead the development of GenAI solutions leveraging Snowflake Cortex AI and ensure scalable, high-performance architecture.
Manage new requirements and create design artifacts, including automation pipelines and codebase development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI-driven solutions and optimize data workflows.
Provide technical leadership to onsite-offshore teams, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to best practices.
Troubleshoot and optimize data engineering processes to improve efficiency and reliability across platforms.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in Snowflake AI Data Cloud and data engineering.
Strong expertise in developing data pipelines using Snowpark within Snowflake and building GenAI solutions.
Proficiency in Python and PySpark programming with solid experience in AWS services and automation workflows.
