General Labor/Machine Operator

We are currently seeking a full-time General Labor/Machine Operator  to join our team in Redford, MI ! We are looking for someone who is motivated, willing to learn, and works well in a team environment.

• PAY: Starting at $18/per hour

Probationary period: 90 days – At the end of the probationary period, employees’ rate of pay will increase to $20 per hour. Employees will also then be eligible for all benefits offered by the company.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
• Prior forklift experience preferred
• Experience in scrap metal and/or titanium preferred
• Reliable transportation to and from work required
• Basic computer and math skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to focus and stay on task in a busy environment

Job Responsibilities:

• Sort metal using company equipment to determine alloy and grade – training provided by company
• Operate forklift to move metal and load/unload trucks
• Size metal to customer specifications using various pieces of equipment
• Clean and inspect metal products to verify conformance to customer specifications
• Sweep and keep working areas clean and free from obstructions
• Enter tags in computer system following instructions on work orders
