Field Service Technician – CNC Woodworking Equipment

• Location: Brighton Michigan plus National Travel (based anywhere in the U.S.)
• Shift/Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (no weekends; overtime as needed during weekdays)
• Pay Rate: $20.00 – $35.00/hour (based on skills and proficiencies)

**Position Summary: **We are hiring a Field Service Technician with strong mechanical and electrical aptitude to install, maintain, and support CNC woodworking equipment across the U.S. This role involves equipment installation, customer training, preventative maintenance, and return-to-service work. The ideal candidate has prior experience with CNC machinery, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to deliver outstanding customer service in the field. **This position requires national travel (state-to-state) and there will be a provided company vehicle (Sprinter van) for assignments.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and commission CNC woodworking machinery:
• CNC Machine Centers (flat table, pod & rail, bore & insert)
• Panel Saws (front load beam saws)
• Edge Banders
• Conduct customer training sessions for new equipment integration
• Provide preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on-site
• Calibrate equipment and ensure machines meet operational specifications
• Document and submit detailed field service reports including time, work completed, and parts used
• Collaborate with customers to address technical issues and ensure satisfaction
• Escalate major repairs or replacement needs to the service management team

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience installing and maintaining CNC woodworking equipment (or similar industrial machinery)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to travel nationally for assignments (vehicle provided)
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
• Mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills required
• Experience with installation, commissioning, and customer training preferred
