TonaLaw is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our Personal Injury team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys managing a high-volume caseload, and values frequent client communication. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will play a key role in all phases of plaintiff personal injury litigation—from drafting and filing through trial preparation—while supporting both attorneys and clients. • Serve as a primary client contact, providing updates and building trust.
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, affidavits, and trial preparation documents.
• Prepare demand packages, affidavits, and legal research summaries.
• Manage e-filing, calendaring, and litigation deadlines.
• Review and organize medical records, bills, and treatment updates in case management software.
• Communicate with courts, defense counsel, insurance carriers, and related parties.
• Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls with clients, carriers, and providers as a core part of client communication.
• Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with firm procedures and applicable rules.
• Provide guidance, task delegation, and oversight to legal assistants to ensure accuracy and timeliness in case-related tasks.
• Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Oversee lien updates, process invoices, track expenses, and assist with general case and administrative support.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of plaintiff personal injury litigation experience.
• Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate.
• Strong client communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage high caseloads and meet deadlines.
• Independent and proactive problem solver with sound judgment.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
• Prior SmartAdvocate experience preferred.
