Job Summary

The Events Manager supports the planning and execution of a wide range of events that align with the organization’s goals and initiatives. Working closely with internal teams and external vendors, this role helps ensure all logistical and operational aspects of events run smoothly on time, and within budget. The Events Manager plays a key role in coordinating event logistics, supporting stakeholder engagement, and contributing to the success of internal and external events. Core Duties

  • Event Coordination & Logistics- Support the end-to-end planning and delivery of events, including scheduling, venue booking, vendor coordination, and day-of execution. Ensure all logistical elements are accounted for and executed on time.
  • Internal Event Support – Coordinate all logistics for internal meetings and events, including venue booking, catering, travel, and accommodations, to ensure a seamless attendee experience. Provide support for partner and program conventions, meetings, and events by managing material procurement, shipping, and on-site event execution.
  • Project Support & Tracking - Assist in managing event timelines and task lists using tools like Asana. Ensure deadlines are met and support cross-functional collaboration to keep projects on track.
  • Vendor & Supplier Liaison - Support communication with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotes, confirm details, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Track and manage vendor performance and deadlines.
  • Stakeholder Coordination - Help coordinate communications and logistics with internal stakeholders, ensuring they have the information and resources needed to contribute to event success.

Additional Duties

  • On-Site/Event-Day Support - Provide hands-on support during events, including setup, registration, vendor coordination, and troubleshooting any logistical issues.
  • Post-Event Wrap-Up - Support post-event follow-ups, including feedback collection, expense reconciliation, and debriefs to identify areas for improvement.
  • Work Scheduling and Allocation - Coordinate with the working team to assign short-term work schedules that align with established timelines and ensure project expectations are met.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration - Collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure a cohesive planning process and a positive event experience for all participants.
  • Budget Tracking - Help monitor event budgets, track expenses, and process invoices. Work with the team to ensure financial accuracy and flag any discrepancies.

The salary range/band for this position is $55,125 to $73,500. Most new hires start between $55,125-$65,000 based on experience and internal equity.

This position is based in Utah and requires on-site work at our Salt Lake City headquarters a minimum of 3 days per week, with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree or 1-3yrs of equivalent experience in the event industry

Experience

  • 1 year of relevant event planning or event management experience
  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Event Planning, Public Administration or similar)

Experience

  • Experience managing external vendors and cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid environment and flexibility to travel for events.
  • General knowledge of registration and event software such as C-Vent

Physical Requirements

This position requires regular physical activity, including but not limited to:

  • Standing and walking for extended periods of time
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items up to 50 pounds
  • Performing tasks that may require manual dexterity and physical stamina

Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that involves repetitive movement and sustained physical effort throughout the shift.
