Applies advanced computer science methods to create scalable solutions that address customer challenges, offering full life-cycle services from research to sustainment. Provides cyber defense through automated analytics for unique boundary protection using behavior and heuristic techniques.

About The Role

Peraton is seeking a System Engineer to support the design , development , and testing of Next Generation SIGINT architectur e . This position is focused on the end-to-end engineering of interfaces, both internal and external, and architectural level system engineering activities . Work will also include definition and management of system requirements, CONOPs and verification and validation activities . The ideal candidate should be able to work and function in a dynamic environment where requirements can change according to the customer needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required with six (6) year s’ experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope , type and complexity . Four (4) years of additional years’ SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience as a System Engineer supporting system and software architecture development, requirements analysis, designing complex collection systems, process execution and evaluation, selections and evaluation of COTS/GOTS tools and test integration.
  • Experience with analysis of architectural data flows and interface definition. 
  • Ability to assess possible architectural limitations or shortcomings in areas such as scaling, speed, and throughput.
  • Ability to develop data queries as appropriate for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
  • Knowledge of Network Defense mission systems.
  • Familiarity with XML/XSD, messaging and schemas.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Linux.

Details

Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
