Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to support a short-term, high-impact project for a growing manufacturing organization. This 4-week engagement will focus on conducting cost module reporting and analysis to provide executive-level insights to the CEO.
The ideal professional is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable jumping into complex cost systems to extract and interpret data quickly.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct cost module reporting and analysis for executive review.
Reconcile cost data and validate accuracy across multiple reporting systems.
Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs to support margin analysis and profitability reporting.
Prepare cost allocation reports and identify areas for process improvement.
Collaborate with finance and operations teams to ensure accurate cost structures.
Present findings and recommendations to the CEO and finance leadership.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3+ years of hands-on cost accounting experience in a manufacturing or product-based environment.
Strong Excel skills and proficiency in ERP systems ( Sage preferred ).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a sharp attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a project-based timeline.
Engagement Type
This position may be structured as either a 1099 independent contractor or a W-2 temporary employee assignment, depending on the candidate’s status and client requirements.
