Job Description

We are a modern, state of the art outpatient surgery center located in the heart of San Francisco. We are in search of a Certified Nurse Assistant to join our team.  We are looking for CNAs who are interested in 12 night shifts.   We are hiring for 3 nights per week, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:30pm to 6:30am. 

Responsibilities:

• CNA provides basic support to RNs and other clinical personnel with regards to the care and treatment of patients. 
• This position performs certain administrative functions, including maintenance and order of medical supply inventory and occasional clerical assistance (i.e. surgery scheduling, filing, data entry, etc)
• CNA is under the direction of the Nurse Manager

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

• Ability to perform basic arithmetic functions such as addition, subtraction, division and multiplication. Ability to perform required mathematical functions related to medication dosages and administration.

• Functions within the position description and within the scope of employee/patient relationship.

• Participates in opportunities of continuing education.

• Demonstrates the ability to utilize recognized channels of communication.  Demonstrates the ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships with patients, co-workers, and other health team members

• Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and board of director

Education and Experience: 

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Assistant Program 
• One-year patient care experience, preferably in an ASC or hospital setting

Required Licensure and Certification:

• Must be state/nationally recognized
• Current Basic Life Support Certification

Compensation:

• Compensation to commensurate with experience
