Flo-Rite Mechanical/Odyssey Controls of Texas is flourishing and we're in search of a Building Automation Controls Technician to join our family and play an integral role in the growth of the controls division. You will play an integral part in the delivery of advanced building automation systems customized specifically for the unique needs of our large commercial customers. We are looking for a self-motivated team player excited to work in a positive and encouraging atmosphere with excellent problem-solving, time management, and multi-tasking skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Commissioning, programming, setting up graphics, communications link, end to end testing, troubleshooting and servicing existing and/or newly installed controls systems.
• Document point-to-point verification, sequence of operations validation and job close out requirements.
• Document and communicate technical building automation system design and revisions for project team.
• Identify and communicate project opportunities and risks.
• Escalate issues on projects in a timely manner.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• 3+ years of Controls/Building Automation Systems experience.
• Familiar with primary functions of Tridium Niagara building automation systems software, hardware, peripherals, add-ons, services and associated engineering tools.
• Proficient with written sequences of operations and diagrammatic depictions of systems.
• Knowledge of third-party communication protocols used in building automation, such as BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, LON, N2, etc.
• Hands-on field HVAC Technician experience.
• Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment, and lifting items up to 50lbs.
• Familiar with Microsoft Products and computer skills.
• Strong Customer Service/Communication Skills.
• Pass national criminal background check.
• Current driver’s license and clean driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Additional qualifications that would be beneficial in this role include:

• Advanced Experience in HVAC Building Automation/Controls, or related industry.
• Functional knowledge of Enterprise IP networks, Microsoft Visio, or similar software.
• Project management experience in the HVAC/Controls space.

Pay:

• $32 - $45 per hour.
