Job Title: Billing Specialist

Location: Houston, TX

Compensation: $25 - $28 / Hour

Type of Employment : Contract to Hire

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Specialist to join our team, specializing in high-volume billing . This role requires a high level of accuracy, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. (Houston, Tx)

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately review and process field tickets/invoices on a daily basis.
• Ensure timely and correct entry of disposal and service tickets into the billing system.
• Resolve discrepancies and investigate any billing or ticketing issues in coordination with field staff or clients.
• Perform manual data entry as required to maintain billing accuracy.
• Regular use of Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and pivot tables, to analyze and manage billing data.
• Work closely with the accounting team; serve as backup support for accounts payable as needed.
• Assist in cross-training initiatives to support broader team functionality.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in high-volume billing, preferably in the fuel, oil & gas, or energy sector.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Proficiency in Excel, including complex formulas, VLOOKUP, IF statements, and pivot tables.
• Solid working knowledge of QuickBooks and Open Invoice/Ticket systems.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to learn and assist with cross-functional tasks like payables.
