Join a team that has the environment down to a science. **Your Opportunity** We are looking to expand our Northern California archaeological team. This position can be based out of any of our Nor-Cal offices and will report to our On-Call Staff Supervisor in our Petaluma office. Work will take place throughout California, with potential opportunities in the Alaska, Oregon, Washington, and Nevada. This is a fieldwork position and work need is heavily influenced by the seasonal weather. On occasion, there may be opportunity for office and/or lab-based work. **Your Key Responsibilities** + Participate in identifying and recording areas of archeological potential, archaeological sites, and traditional use sites. + Work closely with a Field Director/Supervisor to make technical recommendations for cultural resources management. + Collect field data + Participate in field reconnaissance surveys (linear and block type) + Assist in archaeological impact assessments + Excavations **Qualifications** **Your Capabilities and Credentials** + Interest in Cultural Resource Management + Dedicated to following and promoting a strong safety culture. + Able to travel and work away from home + A valid California driver's license is required **Education and Experience** + A Bachelor's degree in Anthropology or Archaeology is required and minimum 1 year related experience, or an equivalent combination of education (e.g., advanced degree) and experience preferred. + Participation in an archaeological field school is seen as an asset. + Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
