AH 64E Maintenance Pilot Subject Matter Expert (SME)

GDIT is the Prime contractor for the Flight School Training Support Services (FSTSS) program, which supports the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE). Located in Daleville, Alabama. GDIT owns and operates the facilities that provide flight simulator training.

HOW AN AH 64E MAINTENANCE PILOT SME WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
  • Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains standards for software systems quality operating methods, processes, and procedures.
  • Conducts evaluation of software systems activities including requirements, design, development, documentation, integration, test, verification and validation.
  • Defines appropriate measures to ensure product quality.
  • Develops overall operating criteria to ensure implementation of the software quality program according to project, process and contract requirements and objectives.
  • Ensures that projects and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts.
  • Reviews software systems design, change specifications, and plans against contractual and/or process requirements.
  • Reviews include applicable specifications, materials, tools, techniques, and methodologies.
  • Provides or directs verification and validation of software system requirements, traceability, and testability.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Education: BS or equivalent years of related experience OR MS OR equivalent yrs of experience
  • Required Experience: 6+ years of relative experience
  • Required Technical Skills: Experience as a U.S. Army Aviation AH-64E Maintenance Examiner Pilot, or AH-64E Maintenance Test Pilot
  • Security Clearance Level: Must be able to obtain a SECRET clearance
  • Required Skills and Abilities:
    • Skilled in personal computer, Microsoft Office software (Including MS Project) and data repository software.
    • Good planning and organizational skills. Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as a team member under tight deadlines with changing priorities.
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Experience in Project Management, Army Material Acquisition programs and/or processes, Department of Defense modeling, simulation and technology requirements is a plus.
    • U.S. Army Instructor Pilot Course
    • U.S. Army Instrument Evaluator Course
    • U.S. Army Aviation Mission Survivability Officer/Course
    • Simulation Systems test, verification, and validation experience
    • Simulation Instructor/Operator experience
  • Location: On Customer Site

The likely salary range for this position is $86,424 - $106,950. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
