The 2nd Grade Aide assists the classroom teacher in providing a positive, faith-filled, and academically supportive learning environment. The aide helps with instructional activities, classroom management, and the care and supervision of students, in alignment with the mission of the Catholic Church and the educational goals of the school.
Assist the teacher in preparing instructional materials and activities.
Provide support to individual students and small groups as directed by the teacher.
Help manage classroom behavior in a manner consistent with Catholic values.
Supervise students during recess, lunch, bathroom breaks, transitions, and other times as assigned.
Assist with grading, recordkeeping, and organizing classroom supplies.
Promote and model Christian attitudes and behaviors in all interactions.
Attend school Masses, religious activities, and staff meetings as required.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all matters involving students and the school community.
Experience working with young children in an educational setting preferred.
Practicing Catholic or respectful of Catholic teachings and traditions.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to follow directions and support the classroom teacher effectively.
Must pass background check and complete Safe Environment training (required by Diocese/School policy).
